COPAL

Copal is a resin collected from the copal tree. Our copal is sustainably harvested (with attention to not over harvesting a single tree) by a family in Oaxaca, Mexico. Copal was used in ancient Mayan and Aztec ritual to call upon ancestral guidance during ceremony and is still used in ceremony and temples around the globe. Copal offers a sweet, earthy, uplifting and enlivening aroma that assists in sanctifying your sacred space.

Copal Burning Instructions: Unwrap bundle and place crystal aside for safe keeping. Light stick and allow flame to burn down at least half an inch. Blow flame out. If the stick puts itself out while burning, relight and allow flame to burn longer before blowing out. With focused attention gently blow on the stick to direct smoke. Place in the soil of a plant, in a bowl of rice, or in an incense holder.
Set the intention of creating a sacred space filled with peace, love, harmony and beauty.

SAGE

White Sage is a sacred plant used for physical and spiritual healing and renewal. Sage smoke can be used in a room or around ones body to establish and maintain energetic equilibrium and protection. Sage smoke has been proven to kill bacteria and viruses in the air and the burning of a single leaf is strong enough to act as an effective tool for physical, mental and spiritual renewal.

Our sage bundles are adorned with calming lavender, grounding vetiver, uplifting sweetgrass and heart-opening rose to add a delectable sweet scent to your smudging experience.

Sage Burning Instructions: Light end, wait until end is ignited and then blow out. With focused attention gently blow on the stick to direct smoke. Place on a non- flammable surface such as in a ceramic or glass vessel. Set the intention of creating a sacred space filled with peace, love, harmony and beauty.

Note: It is of utmost importance to recognize the risk of endangerment that this revered plant is facing due to increasing market demand, unsustainable wild-harvesting practices and climate change. Amoona Botanicals certified organic white sage is grown at a farm and therefore our cultivation practices do not pose a threat to the wild species that are in dire need of a rest from the heavy human hand in order to thrive. By using Amoona Botanicals sage bundles you are helping to implement sustainable white sage cultivation practices and taking a step towards protecting this illustrious sacred plant.

(All herbs are grown naturally, in the USA, without the use of any pesticides or chemicals. Our bundles are tied with naturally dyed hemp twine, so you are burning purely natural materials in your sacred space.)

Palo Santo or ‘holy wood’ is derived from the majestic Palo Santo trees native to Central and South America. The aromatic oil of the wood is naturally secreted only after the trees branches have naturally died, fallen to the ground, and laid in place for 4-10 years. Used during healing ceremony, the woods grounding smoke is used to maintain elevated consciousness and spiritual focus while supporting in ascertaining spiritual messages and cultivating their teachings in daily life.

Palo Santo Burning Instructions: Hold flame on end of stick until it catches fire. Allow to burn down half an inch or so. Blow out. If the stick puts itself out while burning, relight and allow flame to burn longer before blowing out. With focused attention gently blow on the stick to direct smoke. Place on a non- flammable surface such as in a ceramic or glass vessel. Set the intention of creating a sacred space filled with peace, love, harmony and beauty.
